About the Uncommon Church Network
The Uncommon Church Network was born out of the heart and journey of Lifehouse Church.
Dallas Willard once described the local church as a kind of living laboratory — a community where people train, learn, practice, and embody the ways of Jesus together. In that spirit, for the last nine years, Lifehouse Church has sought to become a place where disciples are made and multiplied through the ongoing work of learning to be with Jesus, become like Jesus, and do what Jesus did.
In many ways, the Uncommon Church Network is a byproduct of what Lifehouse Church is learning in its own living laboratory. Lifehouse has navigated multiple seasons — from, admittedly, borrowing someone else’s vision when we first launched, to re-visioning after COVID, to now being deeply anchored in the vision of inviting all people to live as uncommon disciples of Jesus: learning to be with Him, become like Him, and do what He did.
Our hope is that the Uncommon Church Network would make a meaningful contribution to the larger family of “living laboratories” — churches across the 757, the United States, and around the world.
We do not believe the Uncommon Church Network can solve every problem or serve every church or pastor. But our desire is simple: to love and serve whoever God gives us the opportunity to help.
Whether through shared and safe relationships, training, ministry coaching, spiritual direction, or partnership in church planting, the Uncommon Church Network exists as a relational network of churches and pastors committed to cultivating healthy souls, multiplying disciples, and planting churches to fulfill the Great Commission.
